Barcelona, May 29th, 2019. Beauty Cluster Barcelona and the Cluster of Advanced Materials (MAV) have organized the “Nanotech & Beuaty” day at ACCIÓ. The session aimed to learn about the latest innovations, current regulations, security challenges and methodologies to assess the effectiveness of nanoactives in different fields, but above all, in the field of beauty.
The session has begun by contextualizing what nanotechnology is, its evolution and how it is affecting, increasingly, in all sectors of production and research. Likewise, a review was made of the state of the art of research in this field and its potential.
During the day also dealt with issues such as the regulation that currently exists around nanotechnology, safety protocols and tests, as well as the efficacy tests that companies in the beauty sector are applying to develop products with this type of technology.
The day ended with a round table, in which more than 50 professionals in the beauty sector and advanced materials attendees have been able to ask and refute different challenges and problems that the nanotech and the beauty sector pose.
