Barcelona, 20th february 2020. There is only one week left until the registration for the third edition of the International Perfumery Competition “Mouillette d’Argent” closes. The contest is an activity that will be developed in the framework of the Barcelona Olfaction Week. Upt to know fifty perfume creatives from 15 different countries has registered to participate with new perfume creations.
The creative process, in this edition, will be inspired by pepper as an olfactory note that should be included in the formula. The type of pepper and its role in the structure of the perfume will remain in the hands of the creative freedom of each participant.
Stresses in this third edition the growth of international participation with creations that will arrive from Slovakia, South Korea, Romania, Tunisia, Venezuela, Argentina, Portugal, Italy, France, Germany, UK and Denmark in addition to the creations of Spanish perfumers. An exceptional jury, chaired by the master perfumer Rosendo Mateu, will evaluate all the samples with the objective of choosing one of the winners and select the 12 proposals that will reach the public voting body. The second winner of the Contest will be obtained through public voting. The verdicts will be announced at the awards ceremony on May 23 in Teià, within the framework of the IV Maridatge del Sentits, another of the activities framed in the Barcelona Olfaction Week.
The International Perfumery Contest, as well as the entire Barcelona Olfaction Week, is organized by the Beauty Cluster Barcelona, Ainea Perfums and the City Council of Teià and is supported by Eurofragance, Iberchem, CPL Aromas and Lluch Essence.
Registrations will still be open until February 29, since the sample reception phase begins on March 1 and 31. The call is open to expert perfumers, amateurs and amateurs; whether they are currently developing their activity in a company or are an independent professional or creative.
