SUCCESS THE COMMERCIAL MISSION TO CHINA

Barcelona, May 24, 2019. The Beauty Cluster Barcelona, in collaboration with China Beautéville and Proya Cosmetics, has organized a commercial mission to China for associated companies in the framework of the China Beauty Expo. The Asian country is one of the largest cosmetics markets in the world, highlighted by the rapid growth of online beauty products consumption.

SHARED EXHIBITION SPACE AND AGENDA OF B2B MEETINGS

The companies associated in this mission have had the opportunity to meet potential partners, distributors, in addition to giving visibility to their brand, products and services. Six of the associated companies have exhibited their information and products at the stand of the BCB partner. In this space they have received distributors, potential clients, Chinese media partners and institutional representatives through the B2B agenda organized by the cluster and also by the sporadic visits of the attendees.
The partner companies participating in this shared space were Dermofarm, Laurendor, Neftis, Peroxfarma, Phergal and Virospack. Likewise, Martiderm and Mesoestetic have participated in the shared activities of the mission.
During the fair several partners such as Toskani, Laboratorios Viñas or Isdin have had the opportunity to exhibit, thanks to the coordination of the Spanish pavilion by ICEX.

VISIT TO HUB BEAUTÉVILLE I THE FACTORY OF PROYA COSMETICS

As part of the program to discover opportunities to invest, develop business or create new subsidiaries in China, the cluster has organized a visit to the main international development project of the cosmetic sector in China: Beautéville. Based in Huzhou, this region has factories of large companies such as Yonwoo or Proya, spaces for the development of new companies and, among many other possibilities, a large museum of the history of beauty in which companies and associations of all the world. The partners were able to see in detail the processes of manufacturing, storage and quality of a Chinese cosmetic factory to understand its operation.

Subsequently, the companies visited a unique center in China for cultivating Bulgarian roses that will provide raw materials to Beauteville manufacturers. During the visit the cultural event of La Rosa was held, in which the cluster represented the Spanish industry accompanied by associations from other countries such as Switzerland.

VISIT TO THE HEADQUARTER OF ALIBABA GROUP IN HANGZHOU

As an essential part to understand the development of the cosmetic industry in China, the delegation held a seminar at the headquarters of Alibabá.

The Alibabá specialist explored the present and future of the omnichannel positioning of the different platforms and advised companies on how they should face their arrival or growth plan in China through online and offline tools.
