THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE BCB 2019

Barcelona, ​​May 16th, 2019. Beauty Cluster Barcelona has held its fifth Ordinary General Assembly 2019 at the Institut de Químico de Sarrià (IQS), which was attended by more than a hundred professionals from the beauty sector.

The day began with topics related to the entity’s management, financial status, ongoing projects and strategic plans in the future. Also, this meeting has served to highlight the creation of the Beauty Business School, a training entity promoted by the BCB, which will offer training to professionals in the beauty sector in different areas of knowledge such as marketing, business, among others.

Another of the important points that have been treated in this day has been the renewal of the Cluster’s Board of Directors. Tim Eaves (Quadpack), leaves his position as president of the entity to be strategic vice president. Elena Grau, (EG Active) until now vice president, becomes the new president of the entity for next year. Instead, it becomes like vice-operative Alex Vallbona (Birchbox), that leaves its position like vocal to be replaced by Montse Martí (Martiderm), that occupied the position of strategic vice-president this last year in the organization.  

In addition, all attendees have been informed that the possibility will open up for a member company to join the Board of Directors, becoming a member in the coming months.

The Assembly of the Beauty Cluster Barcelona Advisory Council was also discussed during the assembly. An advisory body formed by professionals from different areas of the beauty sector and with a wide professional career, who will advise the BCB Board and also represent the entity in different events.

In this fifth Ordinary General Assembly of the Beauty Cluster Barcelona, ​​the entity wanted to thank the support of the members who have been accompanying the BCB for five years, with a commemorative plaque for its membership.

The day ended with a presentation by David del Rosario, author of “The book that your mind does not want to read”, who told us about neuroscience applied to the beauty sector, business objectives and the human team that make up the companies.
