The sensitive skin is a cutaneous condition of hyperreactivity to environmental factors, it is a difficult syndrome to define and diagnose. Epidemiological studies show that more and more people claim to have sensitive skin, presuming a prevalence of 50% in the European population. Taking into account the increase in people with sensitive skin, we consider it crucial to focus attention on this phenomenon, especially focusing on the fundamental role that research plays in the new development of products.
